Over 1 million people have donated to college students on GoFundMe.
The average college campaign on GoFundMe raises over $800—but you could earn an extra $1,000 from the GoFundMe scholarship. All you need to do is start a campaign with the hashtag #Represent by February 28 and raise money from at least 10 donors to be eligible for the $1,000 scholarship.
Are Other Students Raising Money on GoFundMe?
Yes! Thousands of students are getting the debt-free financial support they need from family and their communities through GoFundMe.
Is Setting Up a GoFundMe Easy?
Yes! We know your schedule is packed with exams and applications, but GoFundMe makes it easy to tell your story and start raising funds quickly.
What Should I Raise Money For?
A new laptop, studying abroad, textbooks, housing costs, or anything else not covered by financial aid or student loans. In fact, the more specific you can be in your campaign description, the better!
How Do Campaigns Qualify for the Scholarship?
Campaigns must be created by an incoming or current undergraduate student at an accredited college or university in the United States by February 28, 2017. Eligible campaigns must be created by February 28, must include the hashtag #Represent in the campaign description, and must raise money from at least 10 unique donors.
How Are the Scholarships Selected?
If your campaign is eligible, it will be reviewed by the GoFundMe selection committee and announced in March. Please see the official contest rules here. U.S. participants only.
