Over 1 million people have donated to college students on GoFundMe.
The GoFundMe January Scholarship will award one current or incoming college student $1,000 to help pay for books, a new laptop, iPad, or any other college supplies.
Start a GoFundMe between now and February 3rd and raise money from at least 10 family and friends by February 17th, and you’ll be eligible to win a $1,000 scholarship.
We’ll be looking for stories that come from the heart—don’t be shy about mentioning any awards, honors, or scholarships you’ve received too. We want to know more about your hard work and achievements!
How Do Campaigns Qualify?
Campaigns are eligible for the $1,000 scholarship if they are created by an incoming or current undergraduate student at an accredited college or university in the United States. Eligible campaigns must be created before February 3rd, they must include the hashtag #JanuaryScholarship in the campaign description, and they must raise money from at least 10 unique donors by February 17th. The scholarship winner will be announced mid-February.
How Are the Scholarships Selected?
If your campaign is eligible, it will be reviewed by GoFundMe. The one winning campaign will be selected by a GoFundMe selection committee and announced in February. Please see the official contest rules here. U.S. participants only.
